据澳洲新闻网报道，今天（周三）澳洲移民及边防部门员工将开始在澳洲主要国际机场进行罢工。此前的罢工计划因布鲁塞尔恐怖袭击而推迟。
原定在上周进行，但因恐怖袭击而延迟的澳洲移民及边防部门机场罢工已在今天继续，以争取薪资及改善工作条件福利。
移民及边防局在官方网站发布公告，表示直至4月7日，澳洲主要机场都会出現服务中断情况。
农业及水利资源（Agriculture and Water Resources）部门员工也会加入到罢工活动中。
社区及公共部门工会（Community and Public Sector Union）全国秘书长Nadine Flood表示上周员工们提议澳洲总理谭保请求推迟了罢工，但是现在将继续对抗政府“不切实际的议价政策”。
Flood在声明中表示罢工活动不会影响国家安全。她表示只是希望事情得到尽快解决。
罢工活动可能会造成机场旅客延误，参与罢工的还有医疗保险（Medicare），福利署（Centrelink），税务局，国防部（Defence），气象局（Bureau of Meteorology），总理及内阁部门（Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet）以及统计局的员工。
本月早前，教育部（Department of Education），环境部（Department of Environment），澳洲地质院（GeoScience Australia），澳洲知识产权局（IP Australia）以及行政上诉仲裁庭（Administrative Appeals Tribunal）的员工也进行过罢工活动。

悉尼國際機場 — 12 midnight to 12.15am, 5am to 1pm and 4pm to 12 midnight
珀斯機場（國際客運大樓） — 3am to 11am and 4pm to 12 midnight
阿德萊德機場 — 5am to 1pm and 4pm to 12 midnight
布里斯班國際機場 — 12 midnight to 1am
凱恩斯國際機場 — 12 midnight to 1am and 4am to 12 midday and 5pm to 12 midnight
