美国国会山庄暴动案余波未了，国会警察局发言人周四（18日）表示，35名国会警察需要为事件负责，正接受内部调查，其中6人被安排停职留薪。
国会警察局署理局长皮特曼（Yogananda
Pittman）检视暴动当日的录像及公开资料后，已指示所有不符合部门行为准则的国会警察，将面临适当纪律处分。发言人证实有29名国会警察接受调查，另有6人被停职。
俄亥俄州众议员怀恩（Tim
Ryan）指一名涉事警员与示威者合照，另一名则戴着印有“让美国再次强大”的帽子并指示闯进国会的人士该走何处。目前有超过250人因涉及国会暴动被起诉，调查人员预计再有多100人面临起诉。
