In the first stage of the 2014 Tour of Australia, Australian Simon Gerrance won.

Earlier, because of concerns that wildfires would affect the Tour of Australia, the organizers had to postpone the race for the safety of athletes and spectators. However, the race was held as scheduled.

In the first stage of the 135-kilometer race, there were many players. Including internationally renowned drivers Cadel Evans, Richie Porte, Simon Gerrans, Frank Schleck and Jens Vogt Voigt) and others participated in the competition.

The Tour of Australia is one of the annual events of the International Cycling Federation. This competition consists of seven stages, including many scenic spots in South Australia.
