On the evening of October 10, in the corridor of the temporary dissection room in the First People's Hospital of Wenling City, Zhejiang Province, most of the medical staff and the family of the deceased protected Wang Yunjie's body.

Yesterday morning, the Wenling homicide case on October 1, which resulted in 2 death and 10 injuries, was heard at the Intermediate People’s Court of Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. The prosecutor sued the defendant Lian Enqing for intentional homicide. Lian Enqing confessed and apologized to the victim and family members in court. He denied the defense lawyer's claim that he was mentally ill, and insisted that there was a problem with the doctor's operation on his nose, and suspected that the hospital check was fraudulent. He said that it was "worth it" to use his life in exchange for the truth about seeing a doctor. The case was not pronounced in court.

Prosecutors charged for intentional homicide

At 9 o'clock in the morning yesterday, the case was heard in the Second Court of the Taizhou Intermediate Court.

The prosecution stated in the indictment that the defendant Lian Enqing underwent nasal surgery at Wenling No. 2012 People’s Hospital in March 3. He was dissatisfied with the results of the operation. The hospital complained and resented the hospital doctors Wang Yunjie, Lin Haiyong, and Cai Chaoyang, and then planned to kill Wang Yunjie and Lin Haiyong.

The indictment stated that at about 2013:10 am on October 25, 8, Lian Enqing brought a hammer and sharp knife prepared in advance to the ENT clinic on the fifth floor of the outpatient building of the hospital, and confirmed that Wang Yunjie and Cai Chaoyang were in the clinic. Walking to the back of Wang Yunjie, he took out a hammer from his jacket and slammed his head. After being hit, Wang Yunjie turned around and blocked the wooden handle of the hammer to the ground. Lian Enqing took out a sharp knife to chase after Wang Yunjie, who fled to the dentistry department, and stabbed several times in his back. When Wang Yunjie fled to the dental department hall, he was overtaken by Lian Enqing. Lian Enqing continued to stabbed Wang Yunjie's chest and abdomen with a knife, causing him to fall to the ground. The victim Wang Weijie stepped forward to stop him, and was stabbed in the right chest by Lien Enqing.

After breaking free of Wang Weijie’s drag, Lian Enqing stabbed Wang Yunjie’s heart again, who fell on the ground. After confirming that it was enough to kill Wang Yunjie, Lian Enqing returned to the ENT clinic to look for Cai Chaoyang, because Cai Chaoyang had already escaped. The room was locked tightly, and Lian Enqing could not enter, so he broke the door glass with a sharp knife and left the outpatient building.

After that, Lian Enqing came to the CT room of the radiology department with a knife, followed the patient into the CT operation room, mistakenly identified doctor Jiang Xiaoyong as Lin Haiyong, stabbed him several times in the abdomen, and was uniformed by the crowd and the security guards who rushed to the police station. organ. This case resulted in the death of Wang Yunjie, Jiang Xiaoyong was seriously injured, and Wang Weijie was slightly injured.

The prosecution believes that the facts of the crime in this case are clear and the evidence is indeed sufficient. Lien Enqing should be held criminally responsible for the crime of intentional homicide.

Surveillance shows the murderer stabbed 7 times in a row

According to CCTV reports, during the court investigation stage, the prosecutor released for the first time 10 surveillance videos of the scene at the time of the incident.

The video shows that at 2013:10 on the morning of October 25, 8, many people ran out of the otolaryngology department of the First People's Hospital of Wenling City, including Wang Yunjie, director of the otolaryngology department. Immediately afterwards, the defendant Lian Enqing chased him out with a knife. After chasing to the infusion room, he pushed Wang Yunjie to the ground and stabbed 26 times. At this time, another doctor, Wang Weijie, stepped forward to stop him, and was stabbed after fighting with the defendant for about a minute.

The lawyer said there was discretion

In response to the prosecutor’s monitoring of evidence, the defendant Lian Enqing confessed to the victim and expressed condolences and apologies to the victim and his family. He also confessed many details at the time, saying that the assault had been brewing for a long time, and the purpose was to kill the doctors Wang Yunjie and Lin Haiyong.

Because Lian Enqing and his family gave up hiring a defense lawyer, the court appointed Zhu Shengyong, a lawyer from Zhejiang Hongda Law Firm, as his defense lawyer.

Attorney Zhu Shengyong stated in court that he had no objection to the charges and basic facts charged by the prosecutor, but Lien Enqing had a few discretionary circumstances: Lien Enqing was the first offender. Before this case, the defendant had no wrongdoing. The performance was good. Due to a momentary mistake, he turned into the quagmire of crime; Lian Enqing truthfully confessed the whole plot and details of his crime, the confession was stable, and he pleaded guilty in court, and he can be punished lightly. In addition, Lian Enqing voluntarily stopped infringing on Doctor Jiang Xiaoyong, preventing the expansion of vicious incidents.

The defender also believes that Lian Enqing's criminal behavior is causally related to his mental illness, and that his mental illness is directly causally related to the surgical treatment and doctor-patient dispute at Wenling First People's Hospital. The First People's Hospital of Wenling City did not pay enough attention to the defendant's complaint, and was perfunctory in handling medical disputes. There were certain faults, which further aggravated the tension and opposition between doctors and patients.

The defendant insisted that the hospital falsified

Lian Enqing’s sister said that according to the lawyer, Lian Enqing’s nose was checked twice after the incident. The first result was normal. Lian Enqing disagreed, but the second result also showed normal.

Lawyer Zhu Shengyong introduced that Lian Enqing insisted in the trial that during his medical treatment, the hospital had fraudulent behaviors, including CT scans, which were all fake. He used his life in exchange for the truth about his treatment. ". Sister Lien Enqing, who participated in the observation yesterday, confirmed this statement to reporters.

Earlier, the relevant person in charge of Wenling First People’s Hospital said in an interview that after Lian Enqing complained to the hospital, the hospital has repeatedly invited relevant authoritative experts from the hospital and Zhejiang Otolaryngology Department to come for consultation.

"The results are very clear. Experts believe that the operation is good and that no more operations are required. At the same time, they explain in detail to the patient and provide psychological comfort."

Yesterday at 12 o'clock noon, the trial ended, and the court will choose a date to pronounce the verdict.
