Dr. Schwartz bought the property with a 25-meter swimming pool a year ago-this is the largest private swimming pool in Sydney Harbour-but he said that this mansion and similar properties have resisted the wider impact. Real estate decline in the residential market.

Dr. Schwartz owns 14 hotels in New South Wales and Queensland, so he is known as the largest private owner of accommodation in Australia, and is ranked 213th on The List.

He hopes to increase the height of his tennis court in his Sydney property to make way for a home theater and six-car garage, and believes that the 500 million he spent on renovations will make the property more valuable.

"Although the general real estate market is considered gloomy, Sydney's prestigious residences have absolutely survived (during the recession) and maintained strong prices," he told The Australian. "This is because the inventory of the Port Marina and other prestigious residences is limited."

In addition to NSW, the only state that recorded multiple transactions of more than 1000 million houses and apartments last year was Victoria. Seven of them were sold in Toorak and the highest price of a luxury home at 7 Chastleton Avenue was $9 million.
