Melbourne man was arrested when he drove to hide from the police
According to the Australian News Network, at around 9 am on September 6, police found a red Honda car driving on the Maroondah highway at high speed in the Lilydale district of Melbourne.
The cunning driver evaded police interception and drove towards the Coldstream area, passing a speed measurement point on the way, and measured a speed as high as 100 kilometers per hour.
The police dispatched a helicopter to track and tried to intercept the car again after finding the trail in Don Valley, but the Honda driver suddenly turned around and rammed into a clearly marked police car before rushing into a roadside ditch.
Two people in the car were arrested. The 26-year-old Wantirna man who was driving was charged with behavior that could cause serious injury, resisting arrest and driving at a dangerous speed; another 28-year-old woman from the Wantirna district was released without charge.
Both were fined A$1652 for violating epidemic prevention regulations.
