他还说，“美国希望实现经济增长，而中国也希望实现经济增长。”“如果能够扩大华为的生产能力，那也将意味着美国公司也有更多的供应机会。我相信这将是互惠互利的。我认为，（美国）新政府将在制定新政策时牢记商业利益。”“我们仍然希望我们能够大量购买美国的材料零件和设备，以便我们都可以从中国的发展中受益。”“我们公司没有精力参与到政治漩涡中。我们努力制造出优质的产品……我们希望美国政府能够采取更加开放的政策，以造福于美国公司和美国经济。”

任志强还以乐观的语气说，过去一年，他对华为生存能力的信心有所增强。“我们有更多的方法来克服困难。”他说，华为还实现了2020年的收入和净利润正增长，但他没有给出具体数字。

美国消费者新闻与商业频道（CNBC）2月8日文章称，Huawei2019年的营收总额为8,588亿人民币，净利润为627亿人民币。在被华盛顿施加约两年的压力之后，任正非希望美国对他创立的华为采取更温和的态度。

谈及5G技术，任正非说，“华为的5G技术可以全部转让。这不仅包括开发权，还包括源程序和源代码。如果美国需要我们的芯片技术，我们可以转让它。我们的话很真诚，但到目前为止，还没有公司与我们进行谈判。”

文章称，美国还采取行动来切断了华为与关键芯片供应商的联系。鉴于华为无法接入台积电生产的芯片，有关华为智能手机业务未来的疑问一直在发酵。这些尖端芯片是华为能够崛起为全球最大智能手机厂商之一的部分原因。对此，任正非表示，华为将“绝不”出售其智能手机业务。他还表示，华为不会在芯片技术上进行投资。
