Police said the tragedy happened around 10pm on Friday when two stolen cars, allegedly a Hyundai sedan and a Holden Statesmen, were driving dangerously along Ross River Road in Thuringowa Central.
It is alleged that when the Holden car was chasing Hyundai cars, the two cars collided, forcing the Holden car to drive into a non-motorized lane near the intersection of Ross River Road and Ridley Road and hit a woman riding a motorcycle.
Holden's driver was a 25-year-old man living in Bushland Beach. There were two passengers in the car. Both of them suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
22-year-old Jennifer Board was the unfortunate motorcyclist who died instantly.
Queensland police said on Sunday evening that they had arrested a 17-year-old girl from Aitkenvale, who believed she was a passenger in the stolen Hyundai car.
She was charged with five counts of illegal use of motor vehicles and one count of theft.
