周二（2日）早上，昆州东南部受暴雨影响，多个地区发生洪灾与交通严重阻塞。
据7号新闻网报道，周二（2日）早上气象局向布里斯本、Ipswich、Logan、Redland City 及Moreton Bay地区发出雷暴预警。暴雨导致布里斯本的高峰时段发生严重交通阻塞。雷暴威胁于上午晚些时候趋减弱，警报随即被取消。气象局表示：“严重雷暴的威胁已经过去。但我们会继续观测天气情况，需要时会进一步发布警报。”

据报道，受灾最严重的地区为Moreton Bay地区Bribie Island的Banksia Beach。该地区在截至8.30am的一小时内降雨量达到了65毫米。

昆州皇家汽车俱乐部（RACQ ）表示，布里斯本多条道路受到洪灾影响。其中包括Griffin的Bruce Highway入口处、Rothwell的Anzac Avenue以及东布里斯本的Didswith 和Didsbury streets。
Mount Gravatt的Garden City购物中心的停车场也有一部分惨遭洪水淹没。
当局敦促民众远离倒下的树木和电线，以及不要在洪水中穿行。
