蒙古国首都乌兰巴托遭受强沙尘暴侵袭。
蒙古国连续两日遭受强沙尘暴及暴风雪侵袭，截至15日17时止，蒙古国紧急情况总局统计，致死人数已上升至10人，另有11人仍处于失踪状态。
综合媒体报导，蒙古国自13日起，遭受每秒约24公尺、瞬间阵风达到34公尺强风侵袭，北部交杂冰雪形成暴风雪，戈壁草原地带则形成强沙尘暴，首都乌兰巴托市14日遭受了强沙尘暴袭击，一片昏天暗地。
一度提报有10人死亡、590人走失，不过，民众及相关单位的互助之下，截至15日17时已找到579人，仍有11人失踪。10名死者中有一名5岁儿童。另外，还致58座蒙古包和121处房屋、栅栏被摧毁，数千头牲畜走失。东部地区部分输电线路损坏并导致当地断电。
气象专家表示，蒙古国此次强沙尘暴的强度和持续时间均超过以往年份，牧民应尽量不出门，不走远路，看管好儿童。
