劳动力短缺，数以百吨的柑橘类水果被抛弃<br />
由于劳动力短缺和超市需求缺乏， 数以百吨的澳洲柑橘类水果被抛弃。
在昆州的整个Burnett 北部地区，这里是全国最大的柑橘供应地， 整个农场的橘子，柠檬和葡萄柚腐烂在地里，无法卖出去。
柑橘种植户Bevan Young 说，早期缺少采摘工使收获推迟，导致水果过剩，因为昆州的种植户被迫与其它地区的农户竞争水果。
他说，很可能他将要放弃一半的庄稼。
Young先生说：“ 收益太糟糕了，我都看得见。“
柑橘种植户承认他们本季度不指望获利，然而如果得到政府的支持扩大季节性工人的隔离检疫，他们明年希望获益。
“澳洲柑橘类水果“的Nathan Hancock说：“ 从长远来看，我们愿意看到有一个区域中心至少能为本州（昆州）提供服务，也为其它州提供服务。”
消费者可以通过在超市选购更多的澳洲水果做出自己的努力（帮助本地农户）。
